Now that i think about it no one mentioned the fact that the whole dam graffiti gang(A.K.A GGs) is dangerous and would kick any gang or person that would get in so... the public stay away .The place and buildings cant be busted and closed because how do u think immortals got in, by the way if everything was closed then how would u expect the GGs getting in there(the new GGs that would join like in the game saying "im going to you GGs garage").What i dont understand is why dont the police go to the Garage in helicopters and attack there instead of destroying their own property at citys.

ok noones mentioned the biggest mystery of jesr/jsrf which actually deserves its own thread
ok so in the frst game by the end they recruited everyone thats in the second game
yet in the second game the gg's are jus gum n tab and u re-recruit everyone all over again as if noone knows who anyone is!!! wuts up with that!!!! hey whats your name yo-yo never heard of you
and for some reason they hav to recruit the guy that started the gg's(beat) as if he was never in the gang to begin with
thats been botherin me for a while now....

I've always said that it was some crazy alternate world or something.
I've had huge debates about it before, I don't remember if we came to any other conclusions.

my official oppinion is i think that the characters in both games are completely different ppl that they hav nothing to do with eachother maybe they idolized and copied them cuz if they were all like 16 in the frst game and if the second game takes place like 20-30 years later
their pretty old...
or mabe its jus fait like once tokyo starts getting controlled by the government n the rokakku some grl with a pilots helmet and a kid with a big hat are destined to stop it wow this is hard it hurts my brain to think about it

I think everyone is forgetting something about the whole character thing.... JSRF is a REMAKE of Jet Grind Radio... so the same characters can look different, have different names, or whatever... according to JSRF, Jet Grind Radio never happened. As for the Garage thing. It's probably only named that because the original hub was also called the garage. Other than that my only explanation is the the reason was lost in translation between the Japanese and English versions.

There is a problem with the whole "JSRF is a remake of JGR" type thing. JSRF actually retains some sort of timeline. For instance, Professor K says that 99th street is built around the Benton tower. Also, you can find a statue of Gouji's late father, Goji, in Kogane (and knock it over, heh). Thus, I've drawn two conclusions:
a.) These are the original GGs children. Likely, given the overall reality of the rest of the game. the theory actually supports itself as the GGs would have had to grow apart so that know one knows each other (thus knocking out the sticky issue of siblings). The only ones who do are the ones whose parents were there in the beginning: Gum and Corn. The story of JSRF suggests Beat (the original) just went off on his own.
b.) These are completely different people who idolize the GGs independantly of each other. (already stated by Biop).

in jet grind radio theres a sushi truck or sumthin like that in the frst kogane level you can find that same truck in ruins in jsrf ill take a pic of it...

Dude. Sega has said themselves that JSRF was a remake. In my comic my Goji Rokkaku is the son of another Goji Rokkaku, but that one didn't take over the city (or try) the reason you can pin down different places is because dude. it's a remake. they didn't reconstruct the whole city completely differently. And to answer the question about costumes... I can't tell you....

That still doesn't explain the Goji statue in Rokkaku heights...

Goji Rokkaku could have been the heir to the company and his forefathers were just really rich and popular too. so they built a statue dedicated to him.
