This is a thread where people can suggest bands to check out. Known bands, and lesser known stuff is welcome. Anything good My suggestions: Incubus (most people only know their radio hits, their lesser known stuff is awesome) Rage Against the Machine (great for rocking out, also lyrics to think about) Cinematic Orchestra (if you're into jazz/electronica, check these guys NOW) More from me to be added later. Now it's your turn

Good Idea TJ!
my suggestions:
Fingathing: Possibly the most "Professor K" music I have ever heard. This stuff fits my personality eerily.
Jaga Jazzist: Something every electronica fan should listen to. Melding of Jazz and Techno = teh awesome!
Mr. Scruff: Happy, upbeat Techno, perfect for getting you in a good mood.

I highly recommend Blur, because Damon Albarn is awesome. He's also 2-D from Gorillaz, so you know he's cool.

I can recommend lots of great bands that I've been listening to a lot of recently:
Madness (best british band ever) Best songs: Baggy Trousers, Sun and the Rain, House of Fun, Our House.
Operation Ivy (legends of 80's punk-ska) Best songs: Sound System, Room without a window, The Crowd.
Biffy Clyro (Scottish dudes) Best songs: Glitter and Trauma, My Recovery Injection
Husker Du (80's little known rockers) Best songs: Something I learned today, Ice cold Ice, Standing in the Rain
Mean Reds (Disney obsessed hardcore punks) Best songs: Operator, Gaynanede, Octopus Too
The Pixies (Occupiers of my sig) Best songs: Bone Machine, Levitate Me
Fugazi (Artistic, puplicity hating people) Best songs: Waiting Room, Turnover, Merchandise
Descendents (Mass Nerders) Best songs: Myage, Van, 'Merican
All (Descendents of the Descendents) Best songs: She's my Ex, Dot, 'Cause.
I've been listening to everyone else's recommendations, keep 'em comong!

David Bowie. Because... Bowie. You better not mess with Major Tom!! By the way, YAY TABETH! It's nice to see that there are more people who like The Pixies besides me.

Yeah, they're awesome!! I got they're DVD for Christmas too.
I've been liking a lot of 80's music lately ('cept not the music the 80's was actually famous for)

Mogwai is a Scottish instrumental group from the 90's, and I've really been into them as of late. It's extremely calming soft music.
I also just started listening to Orange Juice. So far I like what I've heard, which isn't much.
