I love Green Day, but I have to admit that after their latest album came out they've become a bit of a novelty.
I mean my sister who listens to crappy R&B and Rap music even likes them now...is nothing sacred anymore?

I love Green Day, but I have to admit that after their latest album came out they've become a bit of a novelty. I mean my sister who listens to crappy R&B and Rap music even likes them now...is nothing sacred anymore? Thats what happens when a band does what is called "selling out". However, in this case, Green day, just happened to strike a chord with American Idiot, which came out along with every other anti-american son from the last couple of years. it was cool to hate the states so, naturally, the impressionable youth lapped up Green Day, and they became mainstream again. This isn't to say that They're a bad band. American Idiot is a greet song, and so is alot of their older stuff... it's just they've kinda gone the way of Blink, or Gob, or No Doubt.

Okay... whatever that was... I'll just go along with it. There's also another anti-american song in their new album called 'Holiday' I think it's funny. The drumming in it is great too.

I don't like Green Day.
*Is immediately mauled by fangirls*
[shamelessplug]If you want a really good series of song-stories, Blur has a lot of them, including some of my favourites, "For Tomorrow" "Charmless Man" and "Tracy Jacks."[/shamelessplug]

No, I'm just saying that around where I live, there are a lot of aggressive Green Day fangirls who viciously attack any who dare speak ill of them.
