The comic was pretty cool, man. I still don't get why you did the Corn/Tab thing, but once I got past that, it's pretty damn cool and a great way to extend the universe. (I keep hoping that this Corn/Tab thing is some sort of split personality thing... ) The other that actually bothers me is that Beat used a grenade? ?!? He tried to kill Yoyo? The street gangs of JSR about peace man...it's the damn po-po bringin the violence in, ya know what I'm sayin?

well... territory is tight in Tokyo, if you own a block, you're a big man... and Beat was willing to do what he had to to win.
Gamers note: If you play Jet Set Radio Future multiplayer, you can use the exact same type of grenade Beat uses this issue.

yeah, don't worry... there'll be plenty of Tab / Corn adventures in the future that'll make you change your mind about it

Two answer your concerns.... 1. the Metre thing. I'm from Canada. In canada, as well as the United Kingdom, and Australia, we spell certain words differently than the states... so that's an issue where it depends on where you live. 2. Yeah, it was predicatable... but thats part of the joke. It was supposed to be. glad you guys like it though! Aw, I thought it was cute when he said that! And the Metres thing, it's kinda' like a bunch of words like color and colour. I see practice as practise a bunch and stuff like that, too. It's all in where you're from, yo. I pretty much got used to people spelling stuff differently like that. It might bug you a bit, but it's not like it makes any of it unintelligible.

I didn't even notice the metre thing... The one thing that stood out to me was the mutated hand anatomy on page 6.

I didn't even notice that hand thing until someone pointed it out.
I don't think it's a huge deal, anyways.

Yeah, what FD said.
I like it when you drew Beat. Wasn't that the part when he was dancing? If it was, it's awesome!

Yeah, that picture was copied from a 3-D picture of Beat that used to be in Haze's sig...
Therefore it's the JSRF 3-D model designer who's to blame

I'm aware the grenade is in the game and all, in the multiplayer...but it's kinda screwed up. That's a total Rokkaku thing, I just don't see the gangs as violent like that. The video game reminds me of the pre-gangsta hip hop scene, when it was all about expressing the heart and soul and out-doing your adversaries instead of killing them. How's Beat going to join up with the GG's after pulling that kind of crap? I know Tab and Corn aren't down with that.
And yeah, the "metre" thing is different depending on where you're from. In America (and I suppose if written in English, Japan as well, considering they use American English like a second language) it's meter.
By the way, when you talk about Haze on here, you don't mean the Haze, do you? I'm just checking.

You bring up good points. But in Revolution the stakes are already raising, as you'll see in issue 4. Territory is tight, and this forces people to take extreme measures. Not to mention Beat's personality.
It'll become more apparent in future issues that the relationship that yoyo and beat form is a shaky one. Both of them have such large egos, they're both willing to go to extremes to protect their reputations.
As for Beat joining the gang... you'll have to wait and see...
Finally, when we talk about Haze, we're usually referring to Hotsauce, an old member of this place that hacked and nearly deleted the board. He's still a member, but doesn't visit often. We aren't referring to 'the' Haze.

I see what you're sayin...violent times call for violent measures.
Anyway, I'm just happy someone's keeping the dream alive...I thought there was no fanbase to this brilliant game.
I hope a dev stops by and sees this or something...I remember on the ToeJam and Earl boards on GameFAQs, Greg Davis, the co-founder would drop by every so often and talk to us. It was so cool.
