when I was 6, I loved nintendo because of there SNES system, and I thought the N64 was great when I got one two years later. But then about a year ago I bought a gamecube for 50 bucks thinking I could find some good games for it, but then when I got to think about it, there really werent any games I wanted for it that much, and last march I traded the thing in cuz it was brocken and I was sick of it. and when the DS came out, I thought it looked pretty cool, but still they based the DS's games more for children. And now while thier DS is being owned by the really cool PSP, nintendo is gonna come out with a new gameboy, the gameboy micro! Dammit when is nintendo gonna learn that they need to mature thier game system and stop making so many damb E rated Games! Unless they dont do something fast (like put san andreas on thier system) thier gonna end up just like sega did! Sure tthey got that new Zelda game coming out, but what else is thier? Im sorry if this hurt anybody, but until they mature thier system, im sticking to the sony and microsoft side.

If you like RPGs, i highly suggest Skies Of Arcadia: Legends if you can find it for the GC. I agree with you though, Nintendo's aims largely at the smaller kid audience in North America, while Sony and Microsoft are aiming much more at the teenager/adult. My other problem with Nintendo is that they largely seem to live on gimmicks, like "LET'S MAKE OUR CONSOLES AS SMALL AS POSSIBLE" and "IT'S GOT TWO SCREENS, WHICH MEANS IT'S BETTER". The new Gameboy Micro is also a complete rip-off of the PSP, and it seems like they're really not marketing it very hard at all (i haven't seen a single television advertisement for it yet, compared to when they were marketing the DS on its two screens). And one little note, please put paragraphs in your posts, the longer ones are very hard to read as they are

the gameboy micro is like, unplayably small, 2x4 inches, it has a 2 inch screen, it's ridiculous, the only good small thing about it is the price, $99, but even at that low of a price it's still not worth it, you might as well just buy a gba sp, it's better.

ya, and one of its sale pitches is "for the kids who want to play games but not be obvious about it". ?!. What are people gonna think you're doing? Either you're trying to read your own hands, or you're playing games on a machine lighter than 60 paperclips.

I agree that they're aiming for a younger demographic, but I think we also have to grow up in the games we play. The reason they come up with these stupid gimics is that kids are the only ones who are receptive to them. Besides the fact that they can't compete with sony and microsoft with an older demographic. So we grow up with nintendo (or in my case sega) and as we get older we get into more mature systems. I think the problem is that once the player gets to be a certain age and maturity they can't win them with simple gimics. Kids are much easier to fool than teens and adults.

nintendo kick ass in online? are you mad? the gamecube had less online capability than even the dreamcast
my prediction is that after this coming generation of consoles or then next nintendo will go the way of sega and end up just making games...and maybe releasing a new version of the gameboy from time to time, they still win in the handheld department

so far nintendo is in the lead for handhelds, but psp is getting in on it now. I'm excited to see how that turns out.

ya, i guess i didn't consider that, until DS vs. PSP nintendo dominated handhelds, they're still winning overall but sony beat them this round

o well it's about time they got in on that funtrain, the revolution still apparently doesn't support HD though, it's like nintendo insists on being a step behind on technology every generation of console, the 64 was still using cartridges when the playstation had CDs, the gamecube barely had online while the xbox and ps2 both had many online games, now the revolution has no HD support? what is this?

Oh yeah, i heard about that. If they go through with no HD support, they're making a HUGE mistake. They're basically contradicting themselves too: "Yeah, this system has AMAZING GRAPHICS!" "No HD for you" So the graphics aren't worth HD now are they?

they did mention that and i too am dissapointed but its not like everyone plays on HD screens but, they have a trick up their sleeve they said that the revolution has unique features that arent revealed yet woo mysterious woo lol they are like this about it: also nintendo is still owning handhelds in japan by alot, PSP got sold up to 30,000 in one week and DS had 100,000 sold and GBA got 1,000 sold which is more than xbox cause they got 300 of their systems sold in a week and Gamecube got sold up to 600 Ps2 had 25,000 sales
