First, find a picture you want to use (something you've done yourself or one that you've found on another website). If you right click on the picture you want and go to "properties", it will give you the URL address for the picture.

Then go to the "Profile" section, to change your profile. Page down until you find the line "I have my own pic:" Check the small box and type in the URL (mine is: swanriverart.com/Bobcat-small.jpg).

Then go to the bottom of the profile box and click on change profile. If you've done it right, a box will come up with your general info and the pic will show up in the right side of the box. After that, it will show on any and all posts you make.

I still haven't figured out how to add the banner at the end, but I'm working on it.

banner as in sig banner? if so you just do the same as with your avatar, but put it in your signature with [img.] before it and [/img] after it but whithout the dot in the first one
