You don't havet to touch a flame to know that it is hot. . .how many people do you know that are happily married. . .more than half of all marriages end in divorce. That pretty well proves the argument by itself.

this is offtopic but I cant not post this. right now, out my door, I can see a squirrel, not just a normal squirrel, but a trapese squirrel. the wind was blowing strong and broken branch (1cm in diameter, 1.5 meters in lenght, still attached to the tree) was swinging back and forth. The squirrel lept from the bird feeder, grabbed the tip of the branch, hung on, swung all the way over jumped off onto the tree. A flawless routine *clap clap clap*

The test results are in, the squirrel tested positive for anabolic steroids. His medal has been revoked.

The squirrel has hired Johnny Cochrane and the Olympic committee has decided to let him keep the medal. . .turns out the squirrel was taking the steroid for his asthma.
*and the crowd goes wild*

The trapese squirrel, turns and faces the cameras. H winks and says "I dedicate this medal to fellow rodents everywhere. Not just squirrels, or hamsters, but for all rodent-kind."
A chant goes up from the crowd, "Rodents, Rodents, RodentsRodents"
Which raises the question for debate. . . .should the accomplishment of an individual, be considered the accomplishment of a species?

i don't think so unless it actually benifits the entire species and the accomplishment can be reproduuced by others

that would be stupid, if athletes could use performance enhancing drugs then it would just be a competition of who could use the most and then that person would be the winner

no but, having performance enhancing drugs (hereafter known as PED) legal removes drug testing, which (having it) puts athletes at a disadvantage, and sports are about the athletes really.
Furthermore, food is legal, exercise is legal, food enhancies athletic performance, exercise enhances athletic performance, and PED enhances athletic performance, thus saying they do the same thing.
Also, PED's would let records be broken, bringing more fans, and more money, which would contribute to the economy.

But it would no longer be a "fair" competition, unless the Olympic committee or sports leagues provide PED's for everyone. . .

my point exactly, it's not fair for those athletes who don't have as many PED's because they pretty much automatically lose
