I did that debate last year.
I argued that, (per what warren just said) Taking PEDs are the same as weightlifting machines, in that, if an athlete doesn't use THEM, they automaticall lose too... see what I'm getting at?
We won our debate.

the olympics are about being in top physical condition, if you are relying on PED's to win then you are obviously not in good physical condition, real athletes go through rigorous training to attain this physical prowess and thanks to this they are in excellent health, drug boosted athlete's both haven't earned their abilities in the event and are in awful health because of it.

Yeah, and unfortunately those health problems usually don't show up till they get older. . .cancers, muscle diseases. . .all-in-all, I'd rather go the training route, than take serious chances with my health.

then you'd lose. PEDs only boost your performance beyond what you have already, so they stilll need to be in peak physical condition by training and eating well.

Why bother competing if you have to cheat to win? Look at Ashlee Simpson: Are we going to let her of the hook for being caught lip-synching on stage (and then blaming it on her band?) Hell no! There are so-called artists who let other people do all the work, and then they sign their name and get all the credit. Is that fair to real artists? The point is, competition is about humans going head-to-head using only their natural talents. And sometimes, they'll lose. It's natural. But those who lose are the noblest; they did their best, and they didn't feel the need to have their hands held by P.E.D.s.

Miz is right, anyone who uses PED's is a cheater, whether they get caught or not. . . .competition should be free of PED's. . . .building a car that can go 250 mph, is an accomplishment, but you are relying on something mechanical to do it. . .
If a person runs a sub 10 second hundred yard dash with PED's it's an accomplishment, but like the car, you're relying on something else to do it.
If a person runs a sub 10 second 100 yard dash, without PED's. . . now that's a real accomplishment, free of outside assistance

I think it would, you use something not of your own body, just like PEDs, so while you approve machines that make you stronger, you can approve pills and injections that do the same thing?

Trainers and training regimen aren't anything liek a PED, because the progress you make is strictly your own. . .free of the outside assistance of PED's

if athletes were allowed to use PED's than the only competition would be who could take the most without all their blood oozing out their pores (or whatever happens when you take lots of steroids). Maybe that should be a new Olympic sport called the drug marathon.
